'Collection of 600 billion rupees has been made during the month of December only'


Islamabad: Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib on Saturday revealed that the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) recorded a rise in tax collections, saying that the revenue board has witnessed record tax collections of 2920 billion rupees with 32 percent increase in the second quarter of the current financial year.
Farrukh Habib said in a tweet that this collection is a reflection of increasing economic activities in the country.
He said the FBR has collected additional 287 billion rupees as the target was 2633 billion rupees during the period.
The federal minister said that a collection of 600 billion rupees has been made during the month of December only.
