Former PM says will hold Shab-e-Dua tomorrow for this purpose

Lahore: Former prime minister Imran Khan lashed out at Chief Election Commissioner (CEC), dubbing him as PML-N agent, GNN reported on Wednesday.
The PTI chairman was addressing Workers’ Convention at Aiwan-i-Iqbal, Lahore on Wednesday.
Besides party workers, a large number of PTI MNAs and MPAs were attending the convention.
While addressing the charged PTI workers, Khan said that he came to Lahore to give them a programme of party’s future strategy.
“There will be an important role of Lahoriites in our movement,” he added.
He told the audience that his party would hold a special prayer - Shab-e-Dua - to be conducted by famous religious scholar Maulana Tariq Jamil tomorrow for the true independence of our country. He said he wanted Maulana Tariq to preach the people what was the meaning of true independence.
He asked the party workers to install big TV screens in every nook and corner of the country so that people could watch/participate in tomorrow’s Sahb-e-Dua.
The passionate orator told his audience that he wanted that at least 2 million people thronged Islamabad on his March call.
“We are standing at a critical juncture where we need to strive for achieving the true independence,” Khan thundered.
He lamented that a conspiracy was hatched outside and our ‘Mir Jaffars’ and ‘Mir Sadiqs’ came forward and extended their help to the conspirators. He reiterated that America wanted to rule us through ‘three stooges’.
He said it was deplorable that the country’s prime minister was involved in corruption cases. He held that the corrupt rulers wanted to get second NRO to hide their corruption.
‘After coming into power they will eliminate corruption charges against them and then will indulge in loot with impunity once again,” he said adding that in order to conceal their theft, these corrupt rulers would make Pakistan slave to other countries.
The former premier said that the incumbent rulers were not loyal to the country as they had stashed their wealth and properties in foreign countries. He lamented that through a conspiracy, an ‘imported government has imposed on us’.
The former premier did not mince his words when condemning the demeanor of Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan Sikandar Sultan Raja. He alleged that the CEC was an agent of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and once again demanded his resignation.
He demanded of the judiciary and the Election Commission to immediately decide cases submitted by the PTI.
