Dua Zehra’s age is closer to 15: Medical board
A previous medical board had determined her age was between 16 and 17
Karachi: A medical board constituted by the Sindh Health Department declared Dua Zehra to be between 15 and 16 years of age on Monday.
According to details, a medical board, formed by a civil court in Karachi, conducted a medical examination of Dua Zahra at the Sindh Services Hospital to determine her age.
The result of the medical test determined that the age of teenager Dua Zehra is between 15-16 years of age, closer to 15.
The head of the medical board submitted the sealed report in the District and Sessions Courts Judicial Magistrate- East Aftab Bughio.
A previous medical board had determined her age was between 16 and 17, closer to 17, but the results of this board had been challenged on a technicality.
On the other hand, Dua’s father Mehdi Kazmi’s lawyer Jibran Nasir in a series of tweets claimed that the new medical report verified that Dua’s real age was near 15, negating the previous medical board’s report which determined the girl’s age between 16 and 17.
The Medical Board has verified the truth which Parents have been telling since 2.5 months. As per Board #DuaZehra is nearest to 15 yrs of age negating previous medical report which placed Dua at 17. Thus proven that NADRA documents are accurate & Dua in reality is a 14yr child.

On April 16, Dua Zehra went missing from near her house in Alfalah Town Karachi and an abduction report was registered. Later, the girl was found in Lahore and married Zaheer Ahmed.
The girl in a video message alleged that she left her parents willingly and claimed that her age is 17 years. However, the parents from the outset have been claiming that the girl is nearly 14 and she has been giving statements under pressure.
