Jakarta: An earthquake of magnitude 7.3 on Richter scale has jolted Indonesia’s Western Sumarta island at 3:00am local time on Tuesday.

According to details, the officials have issued a tsunami warning since the tremors of this earthquake had the potential of triggering giant waves.

Residents of the affected areas have been directed to move far away from the sea shores and shifted to the safer areas.

The depth of the tremors was measured as 84 kilometers under the seabed.

People got scared and got out of their places, however, no casualties or loss of property have been reported as yet.
