Washington DC: Former Prime Minister of New Zealand, Jacinda Ardern will teach at Harvard University in the United States.

According to Douglas Elman Dorf, dean of the university's Kennedy School, she will begin her teaching duties at the end of this year.

She will serve as 2023 Angelopoulos Global Public Leaders fellow and Hauser leader at the school's Center for Public Leadership.

Report of American news agency stated Douglas said in a statement that Jacinda Ardern has shown strong and compassionate political leadership during her tenure. It is pertinent to note that Jacinda became the Prime Minister of New Zealand in 2017 at the age of only 37.

During her tenure, a shooting incident occurred at a mosque and Islamic center in Christ Church, New Zealand, in which a white supremacist Australian citizen killed 51 people.

Two months later this tragic incident, Ardern launched a Christchurch call with French President Emmanuel Macron. The move was aimed at curbing terrorism and violent extremist content online.

More than 50 countries, including United States, United Kingdom, Germany and South Korea joined this initiative. Facebook's parent company Meta, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, YouTube, Zoom and Twitter also joined the campaign.
