Coronavirus in Pakistan: 110 more succumb to virus in 24 hours

Islamabad: Pakistan has reported 5,364 Covid-19 cases and 110 deaths in one day as the third wave of the pandemic continued to rage across the country.

According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 5,364 cases of coronavirus were reported while 110 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 15,982.

The total number of confirmed cases reached to 745,182.

As many as 650,775 patients have recovered from the disease with 4,302 critical cases.

Punjab                                           

The number of patients swelled to 261,173 in the province with 7,271 causalities.

Sindh

The number of infections has surged to 270,963 in the province, while the death toll has reached 4,541.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

The confirmed cases have surged to 103, 419 in the province with 2,796 casualties.

Balochistan

There are 20,662 confirmed cases while 222 patients have died from the infection so far.

AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan

There are 15,137 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 423. On the other hand, there are 5,163 cases in GB with 103 coronavirus deaths.

Islamabad

There are 68,665 cases in the capital city while 626 people have lost their lives
