Neutral on Ukraine-Russia conflict: FM Bilawal
"Pakistan's position aligns with the international community's stance," he emphasized.
Islamabad: Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari expressed Pakistan's commitment to maintaining relations with all countries.
He emphasized that Pakistan aims to maintain neutrality on the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and seek deeper ties with the Russian government.
During an interview with Al Jazeera TV, broadcast on Saturday, Bilawal shared these views in response to a question.
He stated that after the fall of Kabul, the international community had high expectations from the new rulers of Afghanistan.
Bilawal further highlighted that the international community expects the Taliban rulers to ensure women's rights, including access to education, and to prevent Afghan soil from being used for terrorist activities.
Addressing the security threats faced by Pakistan, Bilawal mentioned the TTP terrorist outfit and the subsequent increase in terrorist incidents within Pakistan following the Taliban's takeover of Afghanistan.
He reiterated Pakistan's expectation for the Afghan Taliban to take action against these terrorists.
Regarding ties with Iran, the foreign minister noted establishing a border market in Balochistan at the Iran-Pakistan border, aimed at promoting bilateral trade.
Additionally, efforts are underway to establish electricity transmission from Iran.
Responding to allegations against China's investments in Pakistan, Bilawal firmly rebuffed them, labeling them as a reflection of a "biased attitude."
