Khadija Shah appeals in LHC for bail
The designer Shah pleaded that her bail plea should be accepted.
Lahore: former Finance minister Salam Shah’s daughter and famous fashion designer Khadija Shah Tuesday filed an appeal in Lahore High Court (LHC) for bail in attack on Askari Tower case, GNN reported.
According to details, Khadjia stated in the petition that she had no involvement in Askari Tower case she has been named in.
The designer Shah pleaded that her kids are very young and her health is also deteriorating, therefore her bail plea should be accepted.
Earlier on June 21, she also approached Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) seeking bail in the case related to the attack on Askari Tower.
The designer is also a US citizen, therefore a delegation of United States officials met with her at Kot Lakhpat Jail to discuss her release. The meeting focused on the legal aspects surrounding Shah's release.
The discussions between US officials and Khadija Shah centered on her case and possible avenues for resolution.
US State Department deputy spokesman, Vedant Patel confirmed Shah's dual nationality and expressed the readiness to provide appropriate assistance to US citizens detained overseas.
