Teachers' demand for permanent jobs met with police brutality

Karachi: The peaceful protest of teachers demanding permanent employment took a tumultuous turn as police and rangers resorted to baton-charging the demonstrators.

Several protesters were also detained during the incident.

The teachers gathered outside the Karachi Press Club to voice their demands, but as they began marching from Shaheen Complex towards the Chief Minister's House, the situation escalated.

Police and Rangers used batons to disperse the protesters, leading to a chaotic scene. Moreover, a number of demonstrators were taken into custody.

Teachers from various parts of Sindh have been urging the authorities to address their concerns by granting permanent positions and ensuring a salary increase.

However, their peaceful demonstration was met with a heavy-handed response by law enforcement agencies, leaving the educators disheartened and calling for immediate attention to their grievances.
