Pakistan's population exceeds 240 million
The notification told the urban population increased by 3.65 percent and the rural population by 1.90 percent annually.
Islamabad: The gazette notification of results of the new digital census was released. According to the notification released, the total population of Pakistan reached 241.5 million.
According to the statistics agency, the size of rural population of Pakistan is more than 1477 million, the urban population of Pakistan has exceeded 937.05. The overall population growth rate of the country reached 2.55%.
The notification told the urban population increased by 3.65 percent and the rural population by 1.90 percent annually. The population of Punjab increased by 2.63 percent to settle at 12.76 million.
According to the notification, the population of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa exceeded 40 million with an annual increase of 2.38%.
The population of Sindh increased by 2.57% to more than 55.6 million, and the population of Balochistan exceeded 1.48 million with an increase of 3.20%.
