Twitter rolls out full-size image previews on iOS, Android
Micro-blogging site Twitter is rolling out a new update that displays larger image in the timeline, intended for a better viewing experience for Android and iOS users.

Twitter started testing this feature back in March and now it is rolling out worldwide. However, the process appears gradual.
This feature is not applicable for web as images will get cropped as before.
The new tweet image display format means, instead of the current cropping down to fit your picture into a specific frame, the plat form will give full-sized previews of attached images within timelines.
A new kind of surprise: show off more of your pic when you Tweet a single image.

The standard aspect ratio of images is 16:9 and 4:3 which will now display in full without any cropping. The larger image previews do have their limits, though, as if a user posts a tall image, it will get cropped.
The company on its official Twitter handle wrote, “Images with 2:1 and 3:4 aspect ratios will now show in full”.

Here's how the display looks. The current display on the left, versus the new format on the right.

With the latest development, single uploads will be displayed in full size. But for the time being, the exact functioning is still unclear when users post more than one image.
