According to details, the first consignment of the vaccine includes 1,248,000 doses of the vaccine.

Meanwhile, Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar has said that Pakistan’s first batch of bulk CanSino vaccine is being processed at the National Institute of Health Islamabad and vaccine will be available for use by end of this month after going through rigorous control checks.

It is pertinent to mention here that vaccination against coronavirus is underway in Pakistan in which citizens are being vaccinated with Chinese vaccines.

Special Health Assistant Dr. Faisal Sultan has said that there are 1200 vaccination centers across the country and so far more than 2 million doses of vaccine have been administered.

A total of 100 million people in the country will be vaccinated against corona vaccine.

Pakistan is presently experiencing the third wave of coronavirus which is said to be deadlier and more contagious than previous two waves.

According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 4,109 cases of coronavirus were reported while 120 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 18,797.

The total number of confirmed cases reached to 854,240.

As many as 752,712 patients have recovered from the disease with 4,986 critical cases.

In Punjab, the number of patients swelled to 316,334 in the province with 8,951 causalities.
