Washington: Enrique Terrio, the former leader of the Proud Boys militant organization is sentenced to 22 years in prison in the January 6 Capitol Hill attack case in the United States.
According to foreign media, the attack on Capitol Hill on January 6, 2021, in which the former leader of the far-right Proud Boys was involved, has been sentenced.
The prosecutors demanded 33 33-year sentence for the accused Terrio.
US District Judge Timothy Kelly stated that the tradition of a peaceful transfer of power on January 6, 2021, has been broken.
The Proud Boys is a neo-fascist group that promotes and engages in political violence.
It should be noted that a few days ago, two lieutenants of the Proud Boys were sentenced to long prison terms in the case of the attack on Capitol Hill.
Joseph Biggs, a top lieutenant of the far-right group, was sentenced to 17 years.
