Army-assisted operation in Kacha, CM decides to shut down the internet 

Kacha: Caretaker Chief Minister of Sindh, Maqbool Baqir, has directed the shutdown of internet services in Kacha and authorized a joint operation involving the police, Rangers, and the army to address security concerns in the region.

Meanwhile, IG Sindh has been tasked with implementing decisive measures against street crimes in Karachi.

During a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Baqir, IG Police Rifat Mukhtar reported on the province's law and order situation, revealing that 218 people had been kidnapped in 2023, with 207 already rescued.

The caretaker chief minister stressed the immediate recovery of the remaining 11 hostages and ordered close coordination with their families.

Additionally, the meeting discussed plans to enhance infrastructure, including the construction of bridges in Ghotki and Kandhkot, to improve law and order.

The deployment of Rangers in Karachi was extended for six months, starting from September 14, 2023, to February 2024, with instructions for a decisive operation against street crime to ensure citizens' safety.
