Govt to charge Rs1.1 mln per capita for Hajj scheme
10,000 pilgrims will be able to perform Hajj under the sponsorship scheme.
Islamabad: The government has decided to collect Rs1.1 million per person under the official Hajj scheme.
According to details, the Hajj Policy 2024 has been sent to the Federal Cabinet for approval and it has been decided to continue the sponsorship scheme next year to reduce the dollar burden.
28 million dollars will be spent on the upcoming Hajj and 10,000 pilgrims will be able to perform Hajj under the sponsorship scheme.
In the sponsorship scheme, the amount of Hajj expenses will be received in dollars while the Hajj quota of Pakistan for 2024 Hajj is 179,210.
