Miftah Ismail rejects reports of joining PPP
The former PML-N leader addresses the speculation surrounding his alleged affiliation with the PPP.
Islamabad: Former Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Miftah Ismail has denied recent media reports indicating a possible joining of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
Taking to his social media account, Miftah addressed the speculation surrounding his alleged affiliation with the PPP.
Contrary to the media claims, Miftah explicitly stated that he disengaged from political commitments and has not aligned himself with any political party.
"I’m not affiliating with any political party," he affirmed, refuting the reports that suggested he was on the verge of finalizing discussions with the Bilawal Bhutto-led PPP.
There was a newspaper report in Tribune today and a tv report yesterday that I am going to join PPP.

The news is not true.
I have for now stepped back from politics and am not joining any political party.
This clarification comes in the wake of earlier media reports hinting at Miftah's potential move to the PPP, indicating ongoing discussions with the party.
In June, Miftah had resigned from his position as PML-N's Sindh general secretary and other party roles, following internal disagreements arising from his removal and the subsequent appointment of Ishaq Dar as the finance minister in September 2022.
