Kabul: 23 terrorist organizations operating from Afghanistan spread terrorism in 53 countries, reportedly.

According to the report, Afghanistan has become a hotbed of international terrorist organizations and 23 terrorist organizations from Afghanistan are spreading terrorism in 53 countries. It is also reported that Afghanistan is regularly providing financial support to terrorist organizations in the region.

Pakistan is the top target of terrorism from Afghanistan, and 17 out of 23 terrorist organizations target Pakistan alone, including the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Jamaat-ul-Ahrar and Baloch outfits.

According to the report, outlawed al-Qaeda and ISIS target Europe and America from Afghanistan. The banned Tehreek-e-Islami organization targets Turkmenistan and China while the IMU targets Uzbekistan.

From Afghanistan, the banned Jundullah spreads terrorism in Iran, and the banned Hizb ul-Tahrir and Jamaat-ul-Ahrar in Pakistan.

According to the report of the Asia Pacific Forum, the banned TTP, which was almost wiped out by Operation Zarb-e-Azb and Radd-ul-Fasaad, has been reactivated after the Afghan Taliban took power.

The report stated that TTP attacks have steadily decreased from 2015 to 2020 due to Pakistan Army operations. However since 2020, TTP attacks have been gradually increasing, and the organization has reported done more than 20,000 attacks in Pakistan since 2020 that includes 49 in 20201, 198 in 2021 and 237 in 2022. And last year 389 Pakistanis were martyred in 317 attacks by TTP.

According to the report, US weapons left in Afghanistan were also used in the recent terrorist incidents in Pakistan, and all the suicide bombers in Pakistan in the last two years were also Afghans.

The outlawed TTP has the full support of the Afghan Taliban, no action was taken even on Pakistan's repeated demands.

The United Nations report stated that the promises made by the Taliban to break up terrorist groups and not become a security threat to other countries in the Doha Agreement have not been fulfilled. After the Afghan Taliban took power, the security situation in the region is very complicated and has become uncertain.

The US Representative for Peace Program said the outlawed TTP is active in Afghanistan to train and raise funds for terrorists.
