OGRA prioritizes gas supply at meal times
OGRA spokesperson Imran Ghaznavi stated that since last year campaigning on gas safety, gas cylinders should be used very carefully.
Islamabad: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) spokesperson Tuesday said that gas is scarce, demand is high, and supply of gas at meal times is a priority.
In a statement, OGRA spokesperson Imran Ghaznavi stated that since last year campaigning on gas safety, gas cylinders should be used very carefully.
Spokesperson added that there is a list of cylinder manufacturers on OGRA's website. The small cylinders found in the market are sub-standard, ‘We take action where non-standard cylinders are manufactured’.
Imran Ghaznavi said that leakage of non-standard cylinders and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) are the causes of accidents.
He further directed to take care of the specified weight of the cylinder while purchasing it, use of gas pressure pump is illegal.
