Fog: Motorways closed in Punjab due to reduced visibility
The Motorways Police has advised citizens to use fog lights on vehicles and avoid unnecessary travel.
Lahore: The plain areas of Punjab, including Lahore, have been covered by heavy fog due to which the motorways have been closed at various places due to very low visibility.
According to the spokesman of Motorways Police, Ring Road, Airport, Canal Road, Journalist Colony and other areas in Lahore are covered in fog.
Motorway-M2 has been closed from Lahore to Kot Sarwar, Motorway-M3 from Faizpur to Sarandi and Motorway-M5 from Sher Shah to Uch Sharif.
The spokesperson of the Motorways Police stated that the duration of fog has increased due to the severity of winter. The best travel times in this season are from 10:00am to 6:00pm, travelers should contact helpline 130 for information and assistance.
