Khawar Manika, Bushra's plea to take record of divorce papers dismissed
Meanwhile, the court dismissed the application on the ground of non-compliance of the local counsel.
Lahore: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has rejected the plea to take the record of divorce papers of Khawar Manika and Bushra Bibi. A two-member bench led by Justice Shahram Sarwar Chaudhry heard the request of the local lawyer.
According to the details, Election Commission and others were made parties in the appeal. It was contended in the petition that the single bench dismissed the petition for record of divorce without hearing.
The petition stated that the bench did not hear the petition on merit. In the petition, it was requested that the court annul the single bench decision and order to provide the record of divorce.
Meanwhile, the court dismissed the application on the ground of non-compliance of the local counsel.
It should be noted that the Islamabad High Court (IHC) has extended the injunction on the trial of the marriage case against Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi. The court has directed the trial court not to record the statements of the witnesses.
Earlier, IHC had rejected the plea of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) founder Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi to issue an injunction on the trial of the Nikah case.
