Karachi: Dr. Halar Sheikh, registrar of Jinnah Hospital Karachi said that adenovirus is increasing in Karachi due to climate change.
According to Dr. Halar, with the change of weather, a large number of people are suffering from the viral infection ‘adeno’.
He stated that the virus usually causes cold, cough and fever, but a person infected with adenovirus recovers in two to three days.
The elderly, asthmatic and diabetic patients should be careful. In case of lack of nutrition and lack of care, it takes the form of pneumonia, warned doctor.
Dr. Halar directed to take protective measures against the virus, saying to avoid handshake and eating outside in such a weather should be avoided.
