PSL 9: Sultans beat Qalandars by five wickets
Mohammad Rizwan who is captaining Sultans scores 82 to lead his side to victory.
Multan: Multan Sultans secured a victory over Lahore Qalandars by five wickets, with six balls remaining on Wednesday night.
The highlight of the match was Mohammad Rizwan's exceptional performance, scoring 82 runs and leading his team to successfully chase the target set by Lahore Qalandars.
Lahore Qalandars had set a target of 167 runs for Multan Sultans.
Despite Lahore Qalandars' promising start with two quick wickets, their bowlers struggled to defend the target. Rizwan's resilient innings held the Multan Sultans together, and although there was a moment when Lahore Qalandars felt they were regaining control after Rizwan's dismissal, it was Iftikhar who dashed all their hopes with an impressive finish.
It was the seventh match of the ongoing HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 9.
Lahore Qalandars previously lost two matches and it is the third match for which they are determined to win. On other hand, Multan Sultans won both of their matches.
Earlier in the day, Karachi Kings defeated Peshawar Zalmi by 7 wickets—thanks to Kieron Pollard's smoky innings as he led the kings to the victory.
