Ayaz Sadiq, Ghulam Mustafa submit papers for NA Speaker, Deputy Speaker
Secretary National Assembly received nomination papers from Ayaz Sadiq and Ghulam Mustafa Shah inside the House.
Islamabad: Sardar Ayaz Sadiq of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Ghulam Mustafa Shah of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Thursday submitted their nomination papers for the election of Speaker and Deputy Speaker.
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq submitted nomination papers for Speaker National Assembly while Ghulam Mustafa Shah of Peoples Party submitted nomination papers for Deputy Speaker National Assembly.
Secretary National Assembly received nomination papers from Ayaz Sadiq and Ghulam Mustafa Shah inside the House.
While, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) backed Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) and its allies have submitted nomination papers for Speaker Aamir Dogar and Deputy Speaker Junaid Akbar.
The schedule for the election of Speaker and Deputy Speaker has been changed by the Secretary of the National Assembly. Previously the papers were to be submitted on March 1 and on March 2 the Speaker and Deputy Speaker were to be elected by secret ballot. However, now the election of the Speaker and Deputy Speaker will be held on Friday, March 1.
