Government facilitating foreign tourists through new visa regime, says Fawad
Islamabad: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Fawad Chaudhary has said that government is facilitating foreign tourists through a new visa regime.
While addressing the General Conference of the Parliamentary Assembly of ECO in Islamabad on Wednesday, the federal minister said that tourism could become a game changer for country’s economy in many ways.
“Pakistan has a great untapped tourism potential. The government is facilitating foreign tourists through a new visa regime,” he said.
Fawad Chaudhry urged foreigners to visit Pakistan saying that the country safe and has many beautiful and serene tourism spots.
The federal minister said that ECO is a powerful forum and it should mutually collaborate to enhance tourism in the region. He added that Pakistan's economy is growing at the rate of four percent.
Referring to the coronavirus situation, the federal minister said that the positivity rate of Covid-19 in Pakistan is less than four percent.
“With effective planning and strategy, the country has contained spread of the pandemic,” he added.
