IHC disposes of appeal to include Quran in school’s syllabus
Syed Masood Hassan Gilani had filed intra-court appeal against the verdict of single bench.
Islamabad: The Islamabad high court (IHC) has disposed of the intra-court appeal to include Nazra Quran in school’s syllabus.
According to the details, justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiyani and justice Sardar Ejaz Ishaq pronounced the verdict regarding the intra-court appeal. Syed Masood Hassan Gilani had filed intra-court appeal against the verdict of single bench.
The court questioned from minister education that did you include compulsory Quranic education in syllabus under the act of 2017. It is told that the Quranic education has been included in syllabus.
The court stated that the national syllabus council secretariat issued no objection certificate (NOC) for the translation of Quran and Nazra Quran.
Islamabad private education authority have written letters for the implementation on private educational institutes.
Ministry of education’s deputy director legal submitted the seven volumes of books. Court remarked that these courses have printed for students in different languages.
From grade one to five, the Quranic education has been included in syllabus. From grade six to twelve, Quran’s translation has been included in syllabus.
