Petition seeking Mustafa Kamal’s disqualification turned down
Karachi: The Sindh High Court (SHC) has rejected a petition seeking disqualification of Mustafa Kamal.
A two-member bench of the Sindh High Court headed by Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar ruled against Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) chief Mustafa at the request of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Salman Mujahid Baloch.
The court also issued a judgment order stating that Mustafa Kamal does not hold any public office at present so the petition in this regard has been filed excessively late.
The court also observed that the petitioner has challenged past posts Mustafa Kamal held in past— the membership of the Provincial and National Assembly, the Ministry and the District Nazim office since 2002.
While keeping in view the facts court rejected the plea saying “The petitioners appear to have been asleep,”
