Interior Minister orders zero tolerance policy against over-billing
Mohsin Naqvi also ordered to intensify the crackdown against electricity thieves across the country.
Islamabad: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi Wednesday ordered the adoption of zero tolerance policy on over-billing across the country.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that over-billing will not be tolerated under any circumstances. He has ordered action against the staff involved in over-billing across Pakistan without discrimination, there will be no compromise on over-billing.
Mohsin Naqvi also ordered to intensify the crackdown against electricity thieves across the country and directed the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) officers to show 100% efficiency against over-billing and electricity thieves.
He stated: “The over-billing is tantamount to cruelty to the people, the staff involved do not deserve any politeness, the public should be given immediate relief on the issue of over-billing”.
The security will be provided to FIA in sensitive areas of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to control incidents of electricity theft, added Naqvi.
