Illegal recruitment case: Elahi, others called for indictment
The anti-corruption court of Lahore adjourned the hearing of the case till May 13
Lahore: The Anti-Corruption Court (ACC) has summoned Chaudhry Parvez Elahi and other accused in the case of illegal recruitment for indictment at the next hearing.
The anti-corruption court of Lahore heard the case of illegal recruitment against former Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Parvez Elahi and other accused.
Former Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez was not produced in the court from jail and his medical certificate was presented in the court due to which he and other accused could not be charged even today.
According to the medical report presented in the court, Parvez Elahi had fallen in the washroom of Adiala Jail due to which he fractured his bone and he has not recovered yet.
The medical report further states that Chaudhry cannot travel for three weeks, doctors have advised him to rest.
Later, the anti-corruption court of Lahore adjourned the hearing of the case till May 13 and summoned Chaudhry Parvez Elahi and other accused for indictment at the next hearing.
