PM arrives home after completing China visit
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visits different cities and held meeting with the top Chinese leadership during his important meeting
Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived home after completing his five-day visit to China on Saturday.
Earlier, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif announced to send one thousand students to China for advanced training in agriculture.
He made the announcement during his visit to Yangling Agricultural Demonstration Base in Xi'an, China today.
The Prime Minister also invited the North West Agriculture and Forestry University to open a campus in Pakistan and directed the Pakistan's Ambassador to China and relevant authorities to finalize these projects with the Chinese authorities.
On the occasion, the Prime Minister was given a tour of various parts of Yangling Base and Pakistan Pavilion. He was shown Pakistani products at the pavilion.
Interacting with the officials of Yangling Base, the Prime Minister said Pakistan is striving to modernize its agriculture sector to increase per acre yield of crops.
He said increasing the agricultural exports is one of our top most priorities.
The Prime Minister was given a briefing about the working of the Yangling Base. He was told that 26 countries are collaborating in agricultural research at the Base and Pakistan was the first one to participate.
He was also briefed about Pakistani universities and scientists taking part in research at Yangling Base.
The Prime Minister also visited the modern plant production factory where demonstration of vertical method of agriculture was given.
