Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif claims the country is rapidly moving towards economic stability, and efforts will be made to boost national exports by developing small and medium-sized industries

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that no new duties would be imposed on solar panels for the general public.
He made this announcement while chairing the federal cabinet in Islamabad on Tuesday.
During the meeting, he stated that no new duties would be imposed on solar panels for the common man. He emphasized the government's commitment to providing low-cost and renewable solar energy to every citizen and mentioned that comprehensive planning is underway to steer the economy in a positive direction.
He claimed that the country is rapidly moving towards economic stability, and efforts will be made to boost national exports by developing small and medium-sized industries. He also stated that the privileges of the elite and those exploiting national resources will be eliminated, and the government's top priority is to provide economic security and equal opportunities for growth to the common man. He urged ministers to ensure their attendance in parliament during the budget session.
The Prime Minister further mentioned that “Azm-e-Istahkam” is a multifaceted determination involving the cooperation of security institutions and the collective national vision of the entire state system.
Instead of launching any new organized armed operations, ongoing intelligence-based actions will be intensified. He clarified that initiating operations requiring displacement is a misconception. The goal of "Azm-e-Istahkam" is to eradicate the remnants of terrorists and the nexus of crime and terrorism, and to uproot violent extremism from the country.
The meeting communiqué stated that the federal cabinet was briefed on the progress of the privatization of state institutions, particularly PIA.
It was informed that the privatization process of PIA is progressing rapidly, with companies expressing interest in pre-bidding and visiting various PIA sites.
The bidding for PIA is scheduled for the first week of August. The Prime Minister directed to expedite the privatization process of PIA and ensure transparency.
Besides it, the meeting approved the request of the UN World Food Program to transit a container from Karachi to Kabul, which would contain truck parts. The special permission was granted on humanitarian grounds for one-time transit only.
