Petition against Imran’s possible detention to military courts
He requested that court should order custody in May 9 cases to remain with civilian courts
Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former prime minister Imran Khan Thursday filed an application in the Lahore High Court (LHC) against giving his possible custody to the military courts in May 9 cases.
Founder PTI filed a petition in the LHC through Uzair Karamat Bhandari. The federal government and the Inspector Generals (IGs) of the four provinces have been made parties in the petition.
In the application, Imran Khan took a position that the custody in the case related to May 9 can be handed over to the Army.
He requested in the petition that the court should order custody in the May 9 cases to remain with civilian courts and issue an order against possible custody being handed over to the Army.
