Oil tanker overturns on Karachi’s Baloch Colony flyover, one dead
Deceased was an employee of a private television channel
Karachi: An oil tanker overturned on Karachi’s Baloch Colony flyover on Thursday, leaving a man dead, witnesses and rescuers said.
According to Sindh Emergency Rescue 1122, the incident took place due to overspeeding. A warning was issued that the spillage caused by the accident had posed a serious risk of fire.
The oil tanker hit another car as it overturned. The rescue operation was completed by 3pm and the tanker was removed from the flyover.
The deceased was identified as Asad Zaidi with the help of an ID card found on him. He worked for a private TV channel. Traffic disrupted due to the accident.
