Constitutional Amendment not expected to pass easily: Aitzaz Ahsan
Talking to GNN, he criticized the effort to advance a constitutional amendment
Lahore: Senior lawyer Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan has voiced serious doubts about the likelihood of passing any proposed constitutional amendments under the current political scenario.
In an interview with GNN, Ahsan criticized the effort to advance a constitutional amendment in the absence of a clear majority in the assembly.
"I am searching for the Aflatoon (Plato) who suggested such a proposal," he remarked, questioning the rationale behind it.
Ahsan also praised Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa for his commendable judicial decisions, noting that his ruling on military courts will be remembered for its impact.
Moreover, he reiterated his stance that if judges are subjected to injustice, it is incumbent upon lawyers to lead a movement to address and rectify such issues.
