Clashes in Waziristan, 12 Khawarijis killed, six soldiers martyred
Terrorist group was trying to infiltrate into Pakistan
Rawalpindi: 12 Khawarij were killed while six young soldiers were martyred during clashes with terrorists in North and South Waziristan.
According to the Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) Department of the Pakistan Army, there were two incidents of clashes between the security forces and the terrorists.
On September 19, the movement of seven terrorists was observed on the Pak-Afghan border. The terrorist group was trying to infiltrate into Pakistan. Security forces tracked down these terrorists in Span Wam area of North Waziristan.
According to ISPR, the forces had effectively surrounded the Khawarjis and killed all the seven terrorists. During the fierce exchange of fire with the terrorists, six brave soldiers of the Pakistan Army also sacrificed their lives fighting bravely for the country.
According to the ISPR, the second incident took place in Ludha area of South Waziristan. A group of terrorists attacked the checkpost of security forces in Ludha in which the security forces killed five Khawarijs while fighting.
According to ISPR, a large number of weapons, explosives and bullets were recovered from the slain terrorists.
ISPR stated that an operation is underway to search for Khawarijs in the area. The security forces are determined to end terrorism in the country. The sacrifices of brave men make our determination stronger.
