Court acquitted all the accused as they were not found guilty
Peshawar: 18 accused, including Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers, were acquitted in cases related to May 9.
The 18 accused, including PTI workers named in the May 9 incident, were tried in front of Judge Muhammad Iqbal of the Special Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC), in which the court acquitted all the accused as they were not found guilty.
During the hearing, the prosecution said that the suspects were accused of protesting at Landi Kotal on May 9. The accused had damaged private and government property by blocking the Torkham highway.
The accused also damaged the anti-narcotics force vehicle during the protest. 18 accused were named in the case and the trial started in Landi Kotal police station. During the trial, they could not be found guilty, told the prosecutor.
Later, the court acquitted all the accused as they were not found guilty.
