Thieves ransack house, escape with over Rs160mn
Police stated that family was out of the house at the time of the incident
Lahore: Thieves escaped with millions of rupees from a house in Sanda, area of Lahore.
According to the police, in the heist incident in Sanda, the loss has been estimated at around Rs160.5 million. The thieves escaped with jewelry and cash.
Police stated that the family was out of the house at the time of the incident.
The thieves entered the house by cutting the mesh of the outer door of the kitchen. 575 tolas of gold, 150 tolas of silver and Rs4 million cash were stolen from the house, added the police.
In the First Information Report (FIR), the plaintiff said that at the time of the theft, her and sisters' jewelry was lying at the parents' house. The thieves escaped with all the jewelry and cash.
