CJP Qazi felicitate Yahya Afridi for appointment

Islamabad: An important meeting took place between Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa and the newly appointed Chief Justice Yahya Afridi.

According to sources, the two met in the Chief Justice Chamber. Qazi Faez Isa congratulated the new Chief Justice Yahya Afridi which was accepted.

The sources said that Justice Afridi had a second meeting with the Chief Justice after the hearing of the cases. The first meeting between the two judges took place today before the hearing of the cases. Justice Yahya Afridi also went to the chamber of Justice Mansoor Ali Shah.

According to sources, the staff of his chamber also congratulated the new Chief Justice Yahya Afridi.

It is pertinent to note that President Asif Ali Zardari has approved the appointment of Justice Yahya Afridi as the Chief Justice of Pakistan, while the Ministry of Law has also issued a notification for his appointment.
