May 9 cases: Hearing on Imran Khan's bail pleas adjourned
Duty Judge adjourned the hearing on the bail applications of Imran Khan in the May 9 cases till November 5
Lahore: The hearing on the bail applications of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan in connection with the May 9 cases has been adjourned.
Due to the absence of Admin Judge Manzar Ali Gul in the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Lahore on Saturday, Duty Judge Irfan Haider adjourned the hearing on the bail applications of Imran Khan in the May 9 cases till November 5.
It is pertinent to note that former Prime Minister Imran Khan has filed post-arrest bail applications in 12 cases. The bail petitions of the PTI founder in eight cases are pending in Admin Court. PTI founder’s bail has been postponed in eight cases including Jinnah House and Askari Tower attacks, while other four cases are pending in ATC No. 3.
On the other hand, Judge Arshad Javed has already given the verdict on the bail applications in Court No. 3, where Imran Khan's lawyer Barrister Salman Safdar appeared today in four bail cases. A hearing was held in Court No. 3 including the burning of the office of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
The decision on bail in four cases against Khan including the burning PML-N office, burning container at Kalma Chowk and burning container in front of Gulberg National Park is likely today.
