Belarusian President to arrive in Pakistan today
Belarusian delegation led by Foreign Minister Maxim Ryznikov has already reached Islamabad
Islamabad: Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko will arrive in Pakistan on Monday and meet with President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The Belarusian delegation led by Foreign Minister Maxim Ryznikov has already reached Islamabad. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Additional Foreign Secretary Shafqat Ali Khan welcomed the delegation.
Pakistan’s Ambassador to Belarus Sajjad Haider Khan was also present at the reception of the delegation. The Belarusian delegation consists of 68 people, including 43 business people, and eight ministers along with the Foreign Minister.
During this official visit of the delegation, a trade roadmap will be signed in Pakistan and Belarus. The parties will also sign four Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) in different sectors including agriculture, trade, science and technology, and pharmaceuticals.
The two countries will also consider finalizing a plan to jointly produce electric buses, promote cooperation in the agricultural machinery and tractor manufacturing industry, and discuss trade, investment, security and defense cooperation, and the regional and global situation.
