Wheel-jam strike is being observed in Balochistan
Quetta: A wheel-jam strike is being observed across Balochistan on Monday over the non-recovery of a 10-year-old child who was kidnapped from Quetta a few days ago, due to which various highways and educational institutions are closed.
According to the details, a wheel-jam strike is being observed in Balochistan following the appeal of the abducted child’s family, political parties, teachers’ organizations, and transporters.
After the wheel-jam strike call, the N-25 Quetta-Chaman National Highway is closed at Khanozai, Muslim Bagh, and Qila Saifullah, while the N-70 Highway is also closed at Loralai Mukhtar and Rara Hashim.
Due to the strike, the Quetta-Karachi National Highway is closed, the Chaman passenger train coming from Quetta will remain closed today, while train traffic on the Quetta-Chaman section will also be suspended today.
According to the authorities, after the strike call, educational institutions in various cities of Balochistan including Chaman, Kohlu, and Khuzdar have been closed, while the exams scheduled for today have also been canceled.
It is pertinent to note that a few days ago, a 10-year-old child Musawir was kidnapped from a school van in Quetta by unknown persons and no trace of the child has been found yet.
The Constitutional Bench of the Supreme Court also took notice of the kidnapping of a 10-year-old child from Quetta and summoned all IGs and the Home Secretary on the issue of child abduction during the hearing of a case related to child abduction.
