Ex-mill rate of sugar has reached Rs115 to Rs125


Karachi: The price of sugar in the country has increased by Rs10 to Rs15 per kg.
According to details, speculators and hoarders have been active since the beginning of this week to increase the price of sugar, as a result of which it has been increased by Rs10 to Rs15 per kg.
Big shopkeepers are offering a kilo of sugar for Rs130 to Rs135 per kg and the ex-mill rate has reached Rs115 to Rs125. While small shopkeepers are selling sugar for Rs140 to Rs150 per kg with an increase of Rs20.
Dealers have also indicated the possibility of the wholesale price of per kg sugar as Rs128 during December and Rs133 in January.
On the other hand, it is being said that the price may increase by another Rs8 in January in the name of futures trade.
