Seven Pakistani survivors of Morocco boat disaster return home after deportation
The Federal Investigation Agency has recorded their statements

Seven Pakistanis who survived the Morocco boat disaster have returned to their homeland after being deported from Spain and Italy. The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has recorded their statements.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs had clarified last week that the Pakistanis who survived the Morocco boat disaster would be brought back to the country, and the Foreign Ministry was in contact with Moroccan authorities in this regard.
The Pakistani Embassy in Rabat is overseeing the relief efforts and working on their return.
The returning Pakistanis gave their statements to FIA officials, where they mentioned that they were subjected to abuse by human traffickers. Based on these statements, FIA has broadened the scope of its investigations.
Meanwhile, details of the survivors of the Morocco boat disaster have emerged, based on official documents from the Pakistani Embassy. According to the documents, four Pakistani citizens did not have identification papers. The total number of Pakistani survivors from the boat disaster in Morocco is 22.
The official documents revealed that the survivors include Mudassar Hussain, Waseem Khalid, Muhammad Khaleeq, Abdul Ghaffar, Ghulam Shah Mir, Ali Hassan, Umar Farooq, Bilawal Iqbal, Arsalan Mir, and Irfan Ahmed.
It is pertinent to mention here that on January 16, the boat, which was attempting to illegally reach Spain via West Africa, met with an accident, resulting in the deaths of 44 Pakistanis among 50 people.
