Hackers actively stealing cryptocurrency through virus
Pakistan Cyber Emergency Response Team stated that malware viruses are spread under guise of PDF files

Islamabad: The hackers have become active in stealing cryptocurrency wallet data through malware viruses.
The Pakistan Cyber Emergency Response Team has issued an advisory in this regard, stating that malware viruses are spread under the guise of PDF files. Fake bot detection system images are used to spread the virus, and information and data stolen from the virus can be sold on hacking forums.
The advisory states that a widespread phishing campaign has been identified from the bot detection system, and users are redirected to phishing websites by clicking on the images.
The advisory of the Cyber Emergency Response Team has said that training should be given to recognize malicious PDFs and monitoring of fake websites and fraudulent domains should be reported.
The advisory has recommended keeping all systems updated to prevent attacks, and a multi-factor authentication system should be adopted and cybersecurity defenses should be strengthened.
