DCs, CCPO Lahore, CPOs, and DPOs should ensure implementation of security plan


Lahore: The Punjab Home Department has issued orders regarding security on the occasion of the Martyrdom Day of Hazrat Ali (RA). It has been directed to ensure foolproof arrangements for the security of processions, gatherings, mosques, and Imambargahs.
The instructions issued by the Punjab Home Department stated that foolproof security arrangements should be made in mosques, madrasas, and Imambargahs and additional personnel should be deployed at all places of worship and shrines.
According to the Home Department, security should be ensured for mourning processions, ceremonies, and public gatherings in mosques. Speakers should not make objectionable and inflammatory speeches against any sect, and a ban on the possession and display of weapons should be enforced throughout Punjab.
The instructions from the Home Department stated that strict action should be taken against the violation of the Punjab Sound System (Regulation) Act, 2015. A close watch should be kept on mischievous elements to maintain religious harmony. Aerial surveillance of the main processions should be ensured through quadcopters, and important WAPDA transmission lines and gas pipelines should be secured on the routes of the processions.
According to the Punjab Home Department, security measures should be ensured at the entry and exit points of all cities across the province. Special measures should be taken for the protection of prominent religious and political leaders. Rescue 1122, Civil Defense, and the Health Department should be put on high alert, and all law enforcement and intelligence agencies should maintain close contact.
The Home Department says that all Deputy Commissioners, CCPO Lahore, CPOs, and DPOs should ensure the implementation of the security plan, and all security personnel should be on duty until the processions disperse completely. All necessary security measures should be taken to maintain law and order.
