There was 37.3 percent increase in remittances on an annual basis


Karachi: The volume of remittances sent by Pakistanis living around the world has crossed the $4 billion mark for the first time.
A statement issued by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) said that the volume of remittances during March 2025 was $4.1 billion, which crossed the $4 billion mark for the first time.
The statement said that there was a 37.3 percent increase in remittances on an annual basis, and a significant increase of 29.8 percent was recorded monthly.
The data released by the State Bank shows that $987.3 million in remittances were received from Saudi Arabia, $842.1 million from the United Arab Emirates, $683.9 million from the United Kingdom and $419.5 million from the United States.
