The total cost of the two airports is Rs2 billion

(Web Desk): The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has approved the construction of two new international airports in Sukkur and Muzaffarabad.
The projects are expected to be completed within five years. A committee has been set up to manage land acquisition for the new airports, and preliminary work has already begun under the PAA’s Works and Development Department.
The total cost of the two airports is Rs2 billion. The main goal is to improve regional connectivity and strengthen Pakistan’s aviation infrastructure. Experts and technical consultants will be involved in the design and construction of both airports.
Sukkur International Airport will serve the upper Sindh region, while Muzaffarabad International Airport will enhance air access to Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Both airports are considered important investments by the federal government.
This announcement follows a recent order by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to conduct a feasibility study for an additional international airport in Mirpur, after British Members of Parliament wrote to the Prime Minister requesting the study.
