Most of the PIA bidders are local investors; therefore, banks should come forward to help them


Islamabad: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has said that the economy is stabilizing due to the government's wise steps.
Addressing a press conference in Karachi, Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb stated that overseas Pakistanis are playing a key role in stabilizing the economy, bringing local and international investors along.
Muhammad Aurangzeb added that most of the bidders of PIA are local investors; therefore, banks should come forward to help them. Currently, 24 SOEs have been handed over to private entities so that they can be privatized, and banks have an important role in this.
He further said that the foreign investor confidence has increased in the last 12 months.
