Over 3,200 villages, 2.45mn people affected by severe flood in Punjab: Report
41 people died due to drowning in recent floods


Lahore: The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab has released a report on the damage caused by floods in the Ravi, Sutlej, and Chenab rivers.
According to the Relief Commissioner of Punjab, the report issued by the PDMA has stated that more than 3,200 villages have been affected due to severe flood conditions.
The Relief Commissioner said that a total of 2.452 million people were affected in the severe flood conditions, while 41 people died due to drowning in the recent floods.
According to the Relief Commissioner, one million people trapped in the floods have been shifted to safe places.
The Relief Commissioner said that the water flow at Ganda Singhwala in the Sutlej River is 253,000 cusecs, and at Sulemanki in the Sutlej River is 124,000 cusecs.
According to the report, the water flow at Jasar in the Ravi River is 54,000 cusecs, and at Shahdara in the Ravi River is 60,000 cusecs.
