Screening of 6,342 patients was completed in Rawalpindi district this year


Rawalpindi: Dengue continues to wreak havoc in Rawalpindi and 12 new patients have been reported in the last 24 hours.
According to the Health Department, screening of 6,342 patients was completed in Rawalpindi district this year, of which 244 cases of dengue were confirmed.
60 dengue patients are admitted to hospitals, after which the number of patients has increased to 36, and no deaths due to dengue have been reported.
Dengue surveillance activities of 1,290 teams are ongoing. So far, more than 4.697 million houses have been checked. The presence of larvae has been confirmed in 110,159 houses.
The Rawalpindi Health Department has destroyed 125,879 dengue larvae so far, while 3,484 FIRs have been registered for violation of SOPs.
1,596 buildings were sealed for violating SOPs, 3,170 challans were issued, and fines of over 9.3 million were imposed.
According to the Rawalpindi Health Department, the dengue hotspot areas include Dhok Hakmdad, CTC 10, CTC 2 Dhok Kala Khan, Bangash Colony, Chak Jalal Din Effendi Colony, Dhok Munshi, Dhamial, Khadiot Shah Chan Chirag, and Dhok Hasso.
