Islamabad: Pakistan has reported 4,858 Covid-19 cases as fourth wave rages across country.

According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 4,858 cases of coronavirus were reported while 40 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 23,462.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 1,039,695.
As many as 943,020 patients have recovered from the disease with 3,208 critical cases.
Punjab
The number of patients swelled to 357,735 in the province with 11,067 causalities.
Sindh
The number of infections has surged to 385,414 in the province, while the death toll has reached 6,021.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The confirmed cases have surged to 144,848 in the province with 4,468 casualties.
Balochistan
There are 30,502 confirmed cases while 328 patients have died from the infection so far.
AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan
There are 24,891 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 628. On the other hand, there are 8,212 cases in GB with 147 coronavirus deaths.
Islamabad
There are 88,093 cases in the capital city while 803 people have lost their lives.
